HMP Channings Wood
HMP Channings Wood is located near Newton Abbot in Devon, and is a category C training prison. Built on a former Ministry of Defence site, it was originally opened in 1974 and since then, the building has been developed to accommodate more prisoners. It mainly takes inmates from the South West area and has a capacity of 731.

- Visiting HoursVisiting hours in the prison are Wednesdays, Fridays and weekends between 1400 and 1600 hours. Weekday visits are for both main prisoners and those in the Vulnerable Prisoners Unit (VPU). Dedicated VPU sessions and mainstream sessions alternate between Saturday and Sunday.
