Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They are commonly used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, or measure usage. OpenPolice uses only what is strictly necessary for the site to function.
Cookie Policy
How OpenPolice uses cookies. As the platform winds down we keep this to the bare minimum.

1 What cookies are
2 What we use
- Essential / session cookies. Set when you sign in (including anonymous login) to keep your session active and protect against cross-site request forgery. Without these, signing in does not work.
That is all. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics. Any earlier analytics/tracking has been removed as part of the wind-down.
3 Managing cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the essential session cookie will prevent you from signing in, but you can still browse the public reference pages (forces, leadership, courts, prisons and legal guidance).
4 More information
Cookies that involve personal data are also covered by our Privacy Policy. For the wind-down timeline and to request a copy of your data, see the wind-down page.
