DataMatch Tutorial
Help us classify images of law enforcement officers and match their faces to profiles in our database. Your contributions make a difference.
What is DataMatch?
DataMatch is a community-powered system where volunteers help match uploaded images of officers to their correct profiles. Using simplified forensic analysis tools, you can contribute to building an accurate database of law enforcement personnel across the UK.
How It Works
Classify Images
Identify law enforcement officers
Review each image and determine whether it contains a law enforcement officer. Simply click "Yes" if an officer is present, "No" if not, or "Next Photo" to skip.

Identify Officers
Match faces to profiles
Once an image is classified, select individual faces and match them to officer profiles in our database. This helps build accurate records of who appears in each image.

Search Database
Find matching officer profiles
Use our search tools to find the officer in our database. You can search by name, force, collar number, or other identifying information to find the correct match.

Submit Match
Confirm and add the identification
Once you've found the correct officer, enter their ID next to the selected face and click "Add identified face" to submit your match. Your contribution will be reviewed and added to the database.
